Frequently asked questions
Which of the sectors we serve are your focus?
The sectors we serve include infrastructure development, energy and utilities, technology and digital infrastructure, logistics and supply chain, industrial and manufacturing, essential services and telecommunications. Our current focus is telecommunications, oil and gas, and construction.
Why focus on telecommunications, oil and gas, and construction?
These areas matter most for Syria's recovery and share a need for resilient communications and safety. Public mobile coverage is uneven, oil and gas contracts are increasing activity at remote sites, and reconstruction needs delivery capacity and safer sites.
What is happening in oil and gas?
Syria signed a gas-development contract with ConocoPhillips and Novaterra on 16 June 2026, alongside offshore agreements with Chevron, QatarEnergy and TotalEnergies. Our timeline lists each agreement with its source.
What is happening in telecommunications?
Zain Group was selected for Syria's second mobile license, with a commercial launch targeted for Q1 2027, subject to approvals, and the minister said full coverage needs about three years.
Do the sectors we serve change?
Yes. Our sector focus evolves with national priorities, economic gaps and infrastructure demand, and we update this page as our focus changes.
